Welcome to “THE HOUSE OF MARIAH” bridging my fashion itch and my art obsession has always been a huge dream of mine. I’ve always seen myself doing more than one art form. I could never stick to one. My inspiration for art and fashion have pushed me to create a world inside of worlds. I wanted to create The House Of Mariah with intentions to invite you into this world that I am currently building. I am amused by individuality, creativity, and self expression. I believe as individuals we all deserve to feel free and comfortable to express our selves through art, fashion, and community. I also believe we should value our differences as individuals, fashion and art are my way of expressing that value.

Art Technique

I found my love for the richness of color in acrylic paints in 2020, when I began to turn my sketches into paintings. Sketching is a vital part of my process, and I find beauty in the simplicity of a sketch to guide me through creating a world of color with many different mediums. Acrylic paint stands firm as my main choice of mediums, and I’ve evolved into a mixed media artist by reaching for charcoal, colored pencil, ink, crayon, and marker. Painting on canvas feels like home to me.
